Each pair is handmade in Ghana by our Fair Trade partner Akooshi, whose artisans transform discarded coconut shells into wearable art. What might otherwise be waste is given another life through creativity and craftsmanship.
Sankofa — Learning From the Past
Sankofa is often translated as “Go back and fetch it.” The symbol teaches that there is value in returning to the past to retrieve the knowledge, lessons, and wisdom we need to move forward.
